If you’re ready to become your family’s first responder in all emergency situations, this training cannot be missed. During this training, you’ll do more than simply sit in a classroom learning about these topics, your USCCA instructor will work you through a dozen real world scenarios using simulated patients and the actual products (or field expedients) that you’ll need to understand if you hope to save a life.
Whether you're a mother, a coach, an outdoor enthusiast, or adventurer, it's important to be ready when accidents happen. Having a first aid kit around will help you be prepared to treat anything from minor cuts and bruises to life-threatening injuries such as severe lacerations and arterial bleeding. In the Build Your Own First Aid Kit Class, you will learn about different types of first aid kits, comfort items versus life-saving items, what to put in your kit, and more. No prior medical training required for this class.
In the training course, you’ll learn to not only understand the proper way to assess a patient, you’ll also learn in great detail the proper way to deal with significant issues such as serious bleeding, chest injuries, a compromised airway, spinal injuries, broken bones, and more. While it might seem unrealistic to translate what professional EMTs and paramedics are able to do in an emergency versus the things that nonprofessionals would be capable of, but in life threatening medical and traumatic emergencies, it all boils down to the same thing — sustaining the life of the patient until he or she can be delivered to the emergency room. This class covers material from the USCCA Emergency First Aid Fundamentals Class.
Our USCCA and NRA certified instructors are professional, experienced, ready to train, and can help you get that permit to carry! We emphasize safety and responsibility in every course we offer.
We believe that every gun owner should strive to maintain or improve their knowledge and skill through training and practice. We recommend following a progression of training that makes the most sense for you, whether you plan to carry a firearm or not.
